The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street!
As Sinead struggles with being step-mum to Joseph she finds an unlikely ally in Daniel, much to Chesney’s annoyance.
But that’s not all of the drama caused by little Joseph’s return from Portugal to Weatherfield.
When Chesney decides that he needs to give all of his attention to his son Joseph, he has bad news for Beth, Kirk and Craig. He tells them they’ll have to move out and find somewhere else to live.
Oh ‘eck.

I know it's just a soap, and reality doesn't exist but can someone remind me who actually owns that house? Would it be like a council house, provided or subsidized by the government to low earners? We can't seriously be expected Ches and Sinead could keep this house afloat on their wage, can we?

I taught it was Kirk who lived there as he and les lived thire and after that it was les and cilla and when led moves out and cilla left wasent it kirks name on the house deeds ?
I remember checking this out when the blog discussed Corrie's houses and residents a few months ago and according to the wikia page for 5 Coronation Street, the landlord is unknown but Chesney became the main tenant after Fizz left to live with Tyrone. He only took in Kirk as a lodger, then Beth and Craig and finally Sinead. I don't think Kirk's name has ever been on the deed.
There was this bit at the end of the wikia page.
‘There is also some confusion about the ownership of the house in more recent years. In 1997, Don Brennan sold the house to the council, and it remained a council property until at least 2002, when a storyline was run in which Les Battersby, facing eviction for subletting, passed off Kirk Sutherland as his boyfriend. However, in 2011, Chesney Brown and Katy Armstrong faced eviction by an unseen landlord when they got behind with the rent.’ It also says a unnamed landlord brought the house from the council.
So I’m guessing it is Chesney’s name on the rental agreement
It was reposessed from don brennan and sold to the council and thats how les battersby got it.
It also puzzled me how 5 people have managed to all fit in there never mind 6 now with joseph. If theres 3 bedrooms in that house they must be tiny
