Pics: Alison King's leaving do with Coronation Street cast mates

Alison King, who played Carla Connor in Coronation Street, has now filmed her final scenes on the show.

Carla's final storyline will play out during the big week at the end of May. You can watch a video trailer and read spoilers about that, if you'd like a peek!

And now, Alison's leaving do has been held in Manchester.  The Coronation Street cast gathered to say goodbye to Alison at the Pier Eight Bar.

A new Coronation Street companion book is being released after Carla leaves the show. Written by a life-long Corrie fan (er, me) the book is called The Little Book of Carla Connor, a decade in the life of a soap queen.
