Carla's Corrie wedding: "Tears, screaming and a bit of Tracy Barlow"
Last night, Coronation Street lost out on the BAFTA award for Best Soap and Continuing Drama to EastEnders. However, on the red carpet, some of the cast members were interviewed and OK magazine has a video interview with Ben Price, who plays Coronation Street's Nick.
Nick talks briefly about what to expect at Carla and Nick's wedding at the end of this month. He says it'll involve a lot of "tears and screaming and a bit of Tracy Barlow."
Ben says: "For a wedding it’s full on. There’s a of twists and turns. It’s going to be a huge week."
Teasing what fans can expect from the already dramatic storyline, the actor, exclusively told OK! Online at the BAFTA TV Awards: "There’s a lot of heartache, a lot of screaming and a lot of tears.
You can watch a trailer video and read spoilers from ITV about the week of secrets on the Street when the wedding takes place and Callum's body is found! Watch it all here.

Hmmmm, maybe the fact that there are "a lot of tears, heartache and screaming" at virtually every single Corrie wedding explains why Eastenders won out. Yes, I know that very occasionally happens in real life, but in real life, most weddings are very happy events. The more outlandish situations we are shown, the more we become immune to them, and they cease to have much impact. I hope the new producer can learn that sometimes less is more.
