Having already enjoyed the pleasure of somewhat more than St. Ella's back room, Jason Grimshaw has now added the notch of her daughter Eva to his crumbling bed post.
Of course, we've been here before. Regular viewers, try hard as they might, can fail to forget the time Dev Alahan bedded Deirdre Barlow having previously enjoyed a dalliance with her daughter Tracy. But then I got to thinking and came up with a long list of characters who have had relationships with a parent and their child.
By far the most nausea-inducing of these has to be the Baldwins. Not Mike, though he did have an affair with Deirdre before then wooing and marrying her step-daughter Susan, but the truly awful love triangle of Frankie, Danny and Jamie. Having brought up her step-son Jamie from the age of 6, her affair with him 14 years later is the closest Coronation Street has ever come to running an incest storyline. Additionally, Leanne Battersby had a relationship with Jamie before shacking up with his father Danny.
Another Baldwin, if only by marriage, to join this ignoble club is Linda. Having seduced her boss at the factory, a man old enough to be her father, she actually became very fond of Mike Baldwin and they began living together. All went well until Mike's son Mark Redman turned up on the scene and he and Linda started an on/off affair. Mike eventually proposed to Linda and with Mark as Mike's best man, everything fell apart at the wedding.
Another wedding to expose family secrets was that of Fiona Middleton to Alan McKenna. Fiona had had a long term relationship with Steve McDonald but they'd eventually split up and then some years later Jim had a one-night stand with her. This all came out when Jim interrupted the wedding, which resulted in Alan ditching Fiona at the altar, unable to be certain of the paternity of the child she was carrying.
There have been a few near misses as well. John Stape had an affair with Rosie Webster and Sally had a huge crush on him as he tutored her for an A-level in English. Jason Grimshaw nearly married Sarah-Louise Platt and once made a pass at her mother Gail. And most recently Lewis Archer having been made a fool of by Audrey Roberts pretended to set his sights on her daughter Gail by way of revenge.
Is that the lot? Or have there been more?

Can't remember any of their names, but Dev had an affair with an Indian lady (wife of a friend/businessman) and then fell for the daughter too. This was shortly before Sunita came back on the scene.
Jason was not almost married to Sarah Louise, he was married to her. His divorce from Sarah was an issue between Becky and Jason.
The ill-fated Charlie Stubbs bedded both Shelley Unwin and mother Bev.
I'm pretty sure Dev did it with Deirdre well before his fling with Tracy:) And I agree, the Danny/Frankie/Jamie scenario was one of the most nauseating storylines ever...
Agreed, that whole "I changed your nappies, now get in my bed" Frankie/Jamie thing was very creepy.
Your correct Deirdre was a while before Tracy
I have watched every episode of Corrie for many years (but not all of the black and white one's), I love watching certain characters such as NORRIS, RITA, EMILY, AUDREY, in fact many more but, I am usually fed up when perhaps two people are talking together, and the camera takes over the role. e.g. I was just getting my teeth into Roy and Hayley on Friday 20th September when the camera started going all over the place.
I would much prefer it just to have seperate shots of this one and that one without the camera sliding about as it takes away the exitement feeling.
It means that each person has learned their lines and while trying to act it out, the camera jumps in and ruins it.
I would love people to back me up here so I can be more 'glued' to Corrie than be 'glued' to the cameraman.
Don't shoot me but i really did enjoy the Frankie and Jamie relationship. Though the Danny and Leanne, Dev and Deirdre was truly awful
Why dosen't Jason split up with Eva and start an affair with Gloria, he will then set new record
I am just disappointed that they cant seem to do anything with Eva who is a great character than have her bed Jason. Very lazy writing and for once I agree with Boria - it is tacky.
Tracey copped off with her grandmother Blanche's beau, Wally.
What about when Todd, who was with Sarah-Lou, kissed her brother Nick?!
