And so without any further ado, here we go with this week’s Coronation Street update.

There's been waltzing in Weatherfield at Hayley's ballroom dancing exam where she gains her bronze badge with Norris' help. He says Mary's got two left feet and calls her "deranged", although Mary says she's "animated". And so Norris drops Mary as his dance partner and takes up with Hayley instead. Kitted out in fascinator and frock, Hayley glides across the floor with Norris as her guide while back home in the caff, Roy challenges Mary to a game of chess. But it looks like Mary's got more on her mind than castles and knights and wants to lead Roy a merry dance of her own as she determines to make Norris well jell.

Marcus and Sean split up this week in tearful scenes after Sean accuses Marcus of having a fling with Aiden at work and then storms into th'ospital accusing Marcus of all sorts and making a right show of himself. Marcus moves in across the road with Maria and Liam which is uncomfortable viewing because we know Maria's got a crush on Marcus but he doesn't know that - yet. And so, as Marcus and Sean kissed goodbye and gave each other a farewell hug…

…Lloyd returned and kissed Steve hello and gave him a welcome hug. Yes, Lloyd's back in town and in wonderful style, the Odd Couple are back together. Steve and Lloyd. Lloyd and Steve, happy as happy as happy can be. Lloyd's been to Jamaica where he came unstuck in a swampy property deal and headed home to Weatherfield to work for rival cab firm Primo Cars, managed by Mad Goran. I do hope he's one of those characters we'll get to see some time soon. Much like Fat Brenda's cousin Sasha who was mentioned this week, just in passing, like. Anyway, Steve offers Lloyd a driving job back at Streetcars but Lloyd gets the wrong end of the switch-stick and thinks he's coming back as partner and moving in with Steve in the cab office flat . And so, as Steve and Lloyd fall out and their friendship gets fractious…

…Peter pins Nick up against the wall, breathes down his neck and shouts quietly in his ear that if he should so much as harm a hair on little Simon's head now he's living with Nick and Leanne, he'll stick a HotPot somewhere the sun don't shine. No, Peter's not happy to hear that Nick and Leanne are not only back together again but that Leanne and Simon are moving into Nick's flat in Victoria Court. Peter's jealous of course, of Leanne, of his son living with another man, and it's left to Carla to point out the bleedin' obvious which Peter continues to deny.

Meanwhile, down at No. 13, Beth and Tracy try to put off another prospective buyer who wants to view Steve's house. But they can't pull the wool over Kevin Webster's eyes, he used to live there and knows the house is sound and he wants to move in. But before he does, there's a great comedy moment in the Rovers when Craig's rat Darryl jumps into Beth's handbag and she pulls the rat out of the bag just as the council inspector is doing his bit in the back room of the pub. Cue much hilarity and shouts of "Didn't Corrie do that storyline 20 years ago with Alec Gilroy and the spider?" Yes, I hear you reply, they did.

And finally this week, Fiz has got the flu. So has Chesney and Katy and so Anna takes the babies across the road and looks after little Joseph and Hope. Izzy and Gary help out where talk turns them both becoming parents one day. And by the look on Izzy's face when Gary says he's not ready for it and says he'd leave her if it happened to them, there's summat Izzy's not telling anyone yet. Baby news breaks next week so tune in again. Same bat time, same bat channel.
