Video: Jane Danson on climax of Corrie custody battle

Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Barlow on Coronation Street, was interviewed on ITV's Daybreak this week.  She talks about the climax of the custody battle over Simon and what Peter might have done with him and where he's taken him.

The end of the story comes soon when Peter and Carla leave Coronation Street - for a few months anyway - and what impact this has on little Simon..

Jane says that Leanne really does love Simon and waves hello to her own two sons and her husband Robert Beck who played Tony Gordon's henchman on Corrie.

Jane's been on Coronation Street since 1997 and talks about her first day on the Street as an 18 year old. She says it's been life-changing, magical and all four who have played the Battersby family have stayed in touch away from the soap.

She admits she does hanker after playing other roles but says "Why would I want to be elsewhere?" with the great storylines she gets on Corrie.
