ALL MAGGIE WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS IS…TO CRUSH EVA As a disgusted Maggie watches Ben and Eva lovingly exchanging gifts, Daniel and Bertie call at the pub with a gift for Megan. When Maggie insists they must stay for lunch, Will masks his fury. Adam gives Alya the necklace and telling her how much he loves her, suggests they move in together. Alya’s thrilled. A panicky Eva rifles through her bag and tells Adam that her letter is missing. As Adam takes her hand, Ben enters and clocks their intimacy. As the Driscolls sit down to eat, Maggie throws Eva a murderous look whilst Will casts daggers at Daniel. Unaware of the tension, Ollie and Lauren get on famously. Lunch over, Maggie hands out the secret santa gifts. But as Ben unwraps his he’s floored by what he receives.
CARLA DOESN’T KNOW IT’S CHRISTMASTIME AT ALL Lisa watches Betsy fondly as she unwraps her presents. When Becky kisses the back of her neck, Lisa forces a smile. Having received a text from Roy informing her that Carla never checked into her hotel in Lanzarote, Lisa’s worried.
JAMES REALLY CAN’T STAY, BUT BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE Carl finds James and suggests they could both do with some fun. As Abi takes Alfie to visit Kevin, he asks her to stay and watch a film, but she texts Carl, keen to get back. In Abi’s flat, Carl and James tear at each other’s clothes, unaware of Carl’s phone buzzing on the side. Is Abi about to get a Christmas shocker?
ELSEWHERE George, Christina, Summer and Glenda join Todd and Theo for Christmas lunch. When Summer reveals that she’s bought Todd tickets to an Andrew Scott retrospective because she knows he’s always fancied him, Theo bristles. While their guests play charades, Theo loses his temper and smashes a wine glass on the floor. David moans to Shona about his missing present from Gail and how she swears blind it’s been delivered.

Ben is a mammy's boy and the old girl should probably just do her darndest and then the battle for the pub will begin. She is an intrusive, attention seeking old battleaxe...and not the Ena Sharples kind!
Hated the scenes with Theo and Todd and Becky and Lisa...they were surprisingly similar...the neckrub got me! Carl is one of the least attractive people on the program, if he had a bit of patter I could see him being " in demand"...he's just gross...and yup, Debbie is his mother? But, who's the father? Wonder how long Corrie will drag it out? Will Debbie forget she is a mother? Will Debbie recall the past clearly even if she forgets what she ate for lunch? (it happens, the human brain is capable of recalling minute details from the past while the short term memory is kaput!! We shall see.
Gail on that video call sounded like the late queen, reading out a speech on autocue! It was as if Helen worth had forgotten how to play Gail, but I'm not surprised. The guy who played her hubby was nowhere to be seen, either, even though it was their first wedding anniversary!
Apart from that, a fab Xmas day episode. I'm glad that Ben threw Maggie out.
Debbie is Carl and Kevin's sister - she isn't Carl's mum. So there's no 'Who's the daddy' plot there to drag out.
All 3 have the same father, Bill Webster, but Kev and Debbie had the same mum. Carl's mum was Elaine, who has recently passed away.
Debbie Webster hasn't had any children. Kev had 2 with ex wife Sally, Rosie and Sophie, who now both live abroad. He had his son Jack with another girlfriend, Molly. Molly died in the tram crash several years ago.
I don't think Carl has had any children (as far as we know!) . I hope this has cleared up the Webster family connections.
