Busted! Eileen and Beth saw Sally and Frank kissing in the factory!
Misplaced Memory award: Cracked star: Fiz said Tyrone called and visited all the time. Really? The time we saw him visit, he said he'd not been at all at that point.
Pretentious award: Rosie's new agent, Vivian.
Into the lion's den award: Sally and Frank up a tree? It'll all end in tears, luv.
Blonde Moment award: The Speed Dating flyers had "Monday 5th January" on them. Remember, this was all Eva's idea.
Fashion Fail: Don Johnson and the Miami Vice look was 25 years ago, mate.
Lonely Hearts award: Sob Star: I do feel bad for Eileen but an affair with a married man isn't the way.
Saint Stella strikes again: Now she's Sunita's saviour with a shoulder, advice and a new job and they barely know each other.
Spin Doctors award: PR Star: Sally is making peace on Frank's behalf with his mother and the clients and everyone else! She must be taking Saint lessons from Stella!
Poison Pen award: Bad enough Beth spreading the news about Sally and Frank to Kevin, but him slagging Sally off to Sophie? That'll help Sophie forgive him, oh yes.
Realistic resolution award: Kirk. I resolve to eat less white bread. Definitely more acheivable than learning to fly. I love Kirk!
Pants on Fire award: Peter for making elaborate lies about a councillor in order to get time with Carla
Lines of the Week:
Dev "Sally... borderline rude, she was" (Only borderline?)
Dev "You've had issues with my past and you took it out on her" (You know, he might have touched a nerve there)
Carla to Sally "If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you"
Beth about Jason "What happened to his dad?" Eileen "I don't know but I hope it's slow and very painful"
Sally "I've been round the block a few times, I'm a good judge of character" (*snort*)
Peter "I am the happiest scumbag alive"

Marriage counsellor award: The do-gooder of the Street is now doling out advice on marriage – was she ever married? She is not married to Karl. Sunita who she hardly knows is ushered into the back and consoled with a bottle of wine “on the ase of course”. Does she ever do the work that Steve pays her to do?
Smug and smarmy smirk award: That self satisfied grin that Peter made when getting in the car after seeing Carla and Michelle on the Street after he had had an afternoon tryst with the Daleked voice one. I used to like Peter, now he is just a grubby dirty cheating liar. How long is that “romance” going to be love’s sweet dream I wonder? Frosty thinks it will turn sour very soon.
Great new character: Beth, I thought she was going to just be an annoyance but she is actually quite amusing. As long as she doesn’t get too OTT.
How not to speak to your parents award: Just how RUDE is Sophie? The way she spoke to her father the othe day was disgusting. Has she already forgotton how she stole his money? Getting more than fed up with her self pity and moaning of this totally unattractive character.
Locked Doors award: Why do they never lock any doors on Corrie?; business was over, anyone could have walked in to Frank’s place and they did.
Police with too much time on their hands award: Would police REALLY bother to go after members of the public that their colleagues just didn’t like? I don’t think so, another irresponsible message being sent out that most cops are bent. Poor Rita, although Frosty suspects she is too doddery to drive these days and would be poodling along at 13 mph rather than 33 mph!
Both great award! Agree with everything said
I have to say I agree re Beth. She is a breath of fresh air and so far very enjoyable to watch, especially with Eileen. Could see some funny scenes in there with Julie as well. Let's hope it stays this way and they don't turn her nasty or spiteful like Kirsty, who I find absolutely painful to watch! She is a horribly unpleasant character who seems to have very few redeeming qualities. Do they think we enjoy watching her make Tyrone miserable? He deserves so much better!!!
I also agree with Frosty's awards. Sophie is one dimensional - surly, self-pitying, selfish and sulky. The wrong sister is leaving in my opinion.
Portraying the police as routinely willing to harass innocent members of the public at the request of a vindictive colleague is disgraceful. The programme no longer seems to care about its effect on the audience in its desperate chase for ratings. This story is just proof of how low the programme has sunk.
Gag a maggot award: Sally putting the moves on Frank tied with Peter singing to Carla on the sofa.
Makeup artist gone wild...what is it with the eyeliner caked on just about every character on this show?
I bet Kirsty is just as nasty with her colleagues as she is with poor Tyrone. Agree that the police shouldn't be portrayed as bent this way. If they at least show her to be forcing the hand of others cops to harass Tina & Rita, it would be better. Still can't stand her, and it's not a love to hate her thing. I hope her lies gets exposed at work as well as with Ty.
Just lovin Beth! What a find. She's better than Cilla & Janice put together. Gosh, Sophie used to be kind of interesting. Now she's just screechy.
I SO agree with you Adam Rekitt - the wrong sister is leaving. Rosie's character is original, funny and interesting. Sophie is just plain ditchwater dull...tired of her wailing and moaning.....she has passed Tina in that category.
Love Beth and Eileen together and agree scenes with Julie would be fab. Hope to see creepy Craig soon - hopefully talking with Kirk...LOL!
I also agree, Rosie has shown she's very good at comedy, which everyone has to agree, Rosie's character is a laugh!
Sophie is just awful; dull, ungrateful, never seems to change expression, and whiny.
Beth shows promise, she's gobby and outspoken but she's going to be a laugh, I think, hope so anyway.
Fashion Fail? I work in a clothes shop, and the amount of 1980s inspired gear we're selling is absurd! Ever heard of the '80s revival, Coronation Street Blog?
