According to the Daily Star (via Digital Spy), Steve is set to put the Rovers up for sale to ease the massive debts he had built up during his relationship with Becky.
The report says that Stella and Karl are offered first refusal for the pub, but Steve will also show other buyers around, which will get the locals worried that their local will be taken over.
I reckon Stella and Karl will end up buying the pub, but I have to wonder if they will make some changes of their own when its in their hands.

Steve has had his time in the Rovers and without Liz he should sell and move on but please not Stella and Karl, I am betting he has a big win at the casino and buys it for the insipid do-gooder. How about Julie and Brian? They would be chaotic but fun, or Sean and Marcus or even Paul and Eileen.
I would love to see Sally behind the bar. She is strong and wouldn't take any nonsense from any punters.
Not Sally! Please! I reckon Lloyd would be the best choice. He's just about to get a wad of cash off Becky so he's got options. I bet he'll come strolling back from his holiday in deep space just as things are looking desperate and save the day. And once he's stopped crying he'd be brilliant behind the bar.
Please NOT Stella and Karl. Rather Lloyd than Sally...
