Katherine was interviewed today on BBC Breakfast about leaving Corrie and leaving Becky McDonald behind. She's now going to be starring on stage at the National Theatre, London in the play She Stoops to Conquer.

Like many people, 6 months ago when Corrie was at a real low, I couldn't wait for her to go, but over the past few months (post-Steve) I've fallen for her all over again and I'm sad she's going. She really adds a sparkle to her scenes and can work as a double act with anyone.
I really like her new look and I have never disliked Rebecca's character. I just think there were way too many over the top scenes and real grey murky areas which became tiring. And Karenish. I liked the way viewers were shown how doting she was with baby Hope and her little insights re t'big house. Tracy holds absolutely no interest whatsoever.
I wanted to believe that Steve had met his match and they would be...oh I don't know I just miss Jack and Vera!
It will be great for anyone who is able to see her in her role onstage; to really get some insight into her acting ability. Something tells me this lass can act!
And she's aged about 20 years..
We all moan about Becky, rough as a badgers backside, but Katherine Kelly is a very good actress and Shakespearean trained. Good luck to her, she looks so totally un Becky in this pic.
