See behind the scenes of the Corrie Christmas fire

The official Coronation Street website at  ITV.com has a behind the scenes video of how the fire at the Streetcars flat was filmed.

The video shows how they achieved setting the interior on fire without burning down the whole set. It's an interesting watch, and there's also some rehearsal footage with Becky being replaced by a roll of carpet!

Go take a look on the official website.

Sorry but I am not interested, the fire was a damp squib if that isnt an oxymoron, pointless and with zero impact. We are all getting acclimatised now to the sensationalist stories, why not just have a quiet Christmas with warmth and humour for a flipping change!

I wish they'd have drawn the contest between Emily and Rita out a bit longer...it would have been funny..but no..have to make it all about Steve/Tracy/Becky or Peter/Carla/Leanne and now we're subject to the Sophie/Amber/Sian dismal marriage fiasco. Some of these characters have no control of their sexual urges. It's atrocious!!! (ha)
