Peter comes to a life-changing decision. As Leanne frets over a still absent Peter, he wakes at Carla’s. As they talk about last night it’s clear they didn’t have sex but there’s an intense bond between these two. It’s like a new dawn for both as the burden of hiding their feelings has been lifted. As they go for a walk in the park Peter’s totally honest about his feelings and how much he loves Carla. Meanwhile a desperate Leanne has started calling hospitals and given Peter’s details to the police. Simon’s desperate for his dad to come home for his nativity rehearsal but as Peter ignores his phone will he come to a decision about his future?
Karl thinks Lloyd and Stella are having an affair. Seeing Lloyd so down Karl suggests inviting him to the Rovers for Christmas. Feeling awkward after Lloyd’s pass Stella’s not keen, which bemuses Karl who pushes the issue, forcing Stella to agree. But before Karl can invite him Stella rushes to the cab office and gets in first, telling Lloyd he’ll have to turn him down. But the conversation has gone out over the switch and Karl has heard everything. Will he suspect the worst?
Battle lines are drawn between Owen and David. When Owen spots a driver delivering a batch of Christmas trees for Chesney (which he plans to sell) Owen sees his chance to get revenge on David and instructs the driver to pile them on the Platts’ drive. Inside David’s frantically cleaning up for a visit from social services. So how will he react when he finds their drive piled high with Christmas trees, just as the social worker arrives!
Elsewhere Kirsty’s spent her first night at No.9 after officially moving in and Tyrone’s loved-up. But will another row between Kirsty and Tina dampen his spirits? Jason’s un-impressed when he catches Eileen writing a Christmas card to Paul and Lesley.
Monday 12th December at 8.30pm
Will Peter keep his promise to Carla? Peter tells Carla he’ll go home now, do what he has to do, then meet her later. But when he arrives back on the street and is met by an angry Ken and a panic-stricken Leanne and Simon it pulls at his heart strings. Peter’s expecting Leanne to go on the attack but she blames herself for putting him under pressure and risking losing him. Faced with her guilt Peter counters that she’ll always face losing him, he’s an alcoholic, when things get tough he will always drink and they should split up now. It’s a forceful tirade aimed to shock Leanne into ending their marriage, will it work? Meanwhile Carla waits at the factory for Peter, will he come?
Becky has a proposition for Lloyd. Karl’s now convinced that Stella and Lloyd are having an affair and confronts them in the Rovers. Lloyd's forced to admit he made a pass as Karl tells him to stick his job and bars him from the pub. Having had enough Lloyd tells Becky it’s time to sell up and leave. Her ears pricking up, Becky makes Lloyd an offer he can’t refuse!
David ups the ante in his war with Owen. As Chesney and Gary clear the Christmas trees off the Platts drive, selling a few in the process, Owen is seething to discover his van’s tyres have been let down. Is David to blame?
Elsewhere when Kirsty witnesses the easy friendship between Tyrone and Fiz she’s put out to hear they have history. Paul comes to thank Eileen for her card, Christmas is going to be tough. Her heart going out to him Eileen finds herself offering help.

Peter - must be one of the most selfish, self-indulgent characters ever. Can't really blame Carla, she's so fickle what with all the "love of my life"'s she's had - she's just the original black widow.
Kirsty - going off her very rapidly, why have they made her into some kind of evil stalker?
Even if Peter doesn't care about his relationship with Leanne, it is rather odd that he's so quick to dump Simon on someone else and plan life with Carla as though Simon is somehow disposable. That part is very strange.
Ah probably the new storyline for Fiz LOL
Fiz and Ty will probably be getting back together soon.
Well wouldn't That be Dreary?
I'm no Kirsty fan, but neither am I now a Fiz fan, used to like the character but now, she's such a moaner, she'd bring Ty right down again.
ABSURD!!! Any other time Leanne would go storming over to Carla's apt. demanding to know what was going on between her and Peter...but suddenly..she's had a total brain fart and can't for the life of her figure out where Peter might have gone. dumdedumdum.
