Coronation Street spoiler: Gemma and Chesney's quad in deaf diagnosis

The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Corrie and when Tara calls at No.5 and drops off the itinerary for tomorrow’s Freshco photoshoot, Gemma’s horrified to realise that it clashes with Aled’s hearing appointment.

Tara makes it clear that the photoshoot can’t be rescheduled and if they fail to show up, they won’t get paid. Chesney addresses Tara and her team, pointing out that the whole campaign is a sham and the reality of looking after four babies is very different to the way that Freshco are portraying them.
A furious Tara tells Chesney that he’s completely trashed the brand and she’s terminating their contract with immediate effect. Chesney calls at the kebab shop and begs Dev to give him a job.

Gemma’s devastated when the audiologist confirms Aled has profound permanent hearing loss in both ears. As Chesney and Gemma take in Aled’s diagnosis, Gemma’s heartbroken to learn that Aled’s been deaf since birth and has never heard her say she loves him. Chesney tries to comfort Gemma as she blames herself.
