The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Corrie and Steve confides in Liz that he’s sent off a tuft of Emma’s hair for DNA testing.
Emma meets her brother Morgan to go to her dad’s funeral but is shocked to see a video from her mum which proves Morgan also knew her dad wasn’t her real dad. Steve arrives at the church with the wreath and seeing Emma upset he tells her he has done a DNA test and he is her real dad.
News of Steve’s paternity spreads with varying reactions. Blaming Audrey for keeping her in the dark Emma announces she is leaving Weatherfield and packs her bags. Despite everyone, including Amy, persuading her to stay she sadly says goodbye to Maria, Gemma and Chesney. Amy tells Steve and Tracy they have to sort it out as she is part of the family. Can Emma be persuaded to stay?

Nice to see that Tracy and Amy chase after Emma when she decides to leave Weatherfield. I expected Tracy to fly off the handle about the situation. She’s really matured and I hope she treats Emma like a step daughter.
So was Emma conceived when her brother was only 7 months old?
Steve must have Jim’s DNA so could she not be Jim’s daughter and Steve’s sister? Or do the dates not work out?
If I remember correctly, Fiona had the fling with Jim some time before her wedding to Alan. Didn't he jilt her on the day because of that? So probably not possible for it to be Jim.
