The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Billy gets arrested on suspicion of robbery.
Todd and Summer are stunned as the police question Billy about his involvement in a robbery which took place in 2001.
The police ask Billy how his fingerprints came to be on a burnt out car which was used in an armed robbery in 2001. Taking on board Adam’s advice, Billy refuses to answer any questions but later makes a shock confession to Todd.
As Todd and Billy lie to Summer telling her that Billy is in the clear and it was a case of mistaken identity, will Todd stand by his man? And when social services hear about Billy’s arrest for armed robbery, could Summer be at risk of losing another dad?

Jeanie (anon): Why can't we just have an interesting storyline of two guys who unexpectedly become dads and have to learn all the ins and outs of parenting and deal with the stress it puts on their relationship and their careers? That's plenty of challenges right there.
Why does it have to be amped up tenfold by suddenly concocting a criminal past for Billy?!
Thank you, Jackie. It’s unneeded and also a complete change to Billy’s character. Why? We already saw him struggle with and return to the church, don’t remember any hints of this then (don’t remember much, actually, as what could have been a huge character story was pretty well buried). It’s not all about plot, writers.
