Kirk's so upset by Beth's bombshell that he moves out of the Tinker household and asks Maria if he can move in with her instead.

I was just coming here to post the same thought, that Beth and Darryl never got divorced.
He can't be a Tinker, as that's Beth's maiden name. We've already met her family of the same name. Don't tell me he's her brother!
@Jeremy Wallace@Linda Shockley, Beth and Kirk's marriage took a fair bit of planning, wouldn't Beth have had to give info about her divorce decree to be allowed to marry?
I think the discovery that would repel Kirk this much is that Beth was her ex- husband's partner in crime and is only out because of a technicality. Kirk is a very honest man.
Isn't Sinead's surname Tinker? Her mother is Beth's sister so it's Beth's maiden name. Hoping this is just a mistake on this blog rather than on the programme.

@Rapunzel, that's another piece of Corrie casting magic. I think that Jack Shepard looks like he could be Gail's son, and Dierdre looked like Blanche's daughter.
