Craig's dad arrives in Coronation Street next week

Next week on Coronation Street, we'll get to meet Craig's dad when Craig visits him in jail.  But Beth’s devastated and forbids him from visiting his dad, insisting he’s a liar and a criminal. 

Craig's dad, Darryl, is set to cause a bit of a shock in the street and it'll be Kirk that takes the brunt of it all.  We'll find out a massive secret about Darryl and Beth which stuns Kirk, says the official previews from ITV.

Kirk's so upset by Beth's bombshell that he moves out of the Tinker household and asks Maria if he can move in with her instead.

Craig's dad will be played by actor Paul Loughran, better known to Emmerdale fans as Butch Dingle. Find out more about him here.

Craig's dad arrives in Coronation Street - played by Butch Dingle!

Woah there!  I've just had to read this week's TV Times twice just now.

Not only is Craig Tinker's real dad turning up in Coronation Street in a fortnight, but he'll be played by actor Paul Loughran, best known for playing Butch Dingle in Emmerdale.

It's a soap fandago!

Craig's dad will arrive when Beth is forced to come clean to Craig about his real dad.  He's called Darryl - so now we know who Craig's pet rat is named after!

It's not the first time actor Paul Loughran has been in Coronation Street.  He's played two minor roles before.
