Who are you and where are you from?
Ryan Oxley from Sheffield.

How long have you been watching Corrie?
20 years as man and boy. It’s kind of a lifelong thing now.

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
Favourite male character is undoubtedly Peter Barlow; feckless womaniser, hardened drinker, one-time book-keeper and philanderer. We have nothing in common! Chris Gascoygne is a superb actor. It’s a welcome (Rovers) return!

Favourite female character, definitely Carla Connor. A ruthless businesswoman, loud-mouthed, a vulnerability that leapt from the screen. An assured Corrie legend, mentioned in the same breath as Elsie Tanner and Ena Sharples. A fantastic actress in Alison King.

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
Peter Barlow’s alcoholism; Corrie dealt with a difficult subject showing compassion. We even had a good glimpse of humour in the now famous ‘AA meeting’ episode.
John Stape's romance with Rosie and his subsequent murderous spree (prior to the tram crash) was something else entirely.
The comedy camaraderie with Steve & Lloyd was always good. I do miss our Deirdre as well. Anne Kirkbride was a scene stealer. Sorely missed.

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
I love Norris Cole. He is the gossip queen of Coronation Street. I would love a brew with him in The Kabin for the lowdown on life on The Street. Dream storyline would be for Norris to finally declare his undying love for Rita and settle down with her in The Kabin flat. He sells Emily’s house to Simon Barlow, who after illegally buying a scratch card, becomes the street's youngest (and possibly first) millionaire. Simon subsequently buys The Rovers Return from Steve and installs Amy Barlow as the youngest Rovers Landlady… ever.  (fantasy storyline indeed!!).

Have you any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast, or trips to the set, etc., that you'd like to share?
Saturday 27th of August 2016 as part of the #IamTeamGB event on the set of Coronation Street in Salford.  We spent part of our honeymoon in Manchester 2015, on the Corrie tour in the old Granada studios building.
