ANOTHER cat fight in the Street? Harlem would be a pleasenter and safer place to live. Its all becoming very tiresome indeed.
Agreed. The writers must have put a lot of effort into thinking that plot line through before decamping to the pub for the day.
same old rehash Carla hits the bottle..again. Simon runs away..again. Leanne harps at Peter again..I'm tuning out..again.
Corrie writers seem to love physical stuff - spats in the street, drink in the face/over the head and it's becoming boring. Although both Leanne and Carla had rough beginnings, it's not believable that these two professional women in their 30's would behave like this.
It is like those recaps before part two on a mystery series.
I don't know about anyone else but I am so hopeful that the damned faktry closes!! Let something more plausible open up, let folk seek employment outside the Street and introduce some new folk and storylines - bring industry into the modern era!! I'd love to see Carla leave and frankly, she can take Steve with her. At least it'll bring an end to the lollipop nonsense.
It does feel like a massive rehash of what Carla and Peter were up to before they left. It would have been great if they had used the actors' temporary departures in order to refresh the characters, or bring them back with a different attitude.
I'm also fed up seeing Leanne behaving in this way. I much prefer her as a sympathetic character.
lol have to say Ali King and Jane Danson really go for it
I really like Peter and Carla but I hate that the writers won't let go of the love square thing. I would like to see them have other storylines together - ones that don't involve Leanne and Nick.
I'm guessing that's too much to ask though.
