THE POLICE HOME IN ON PETER. As Carla tries to get Peter to remember where he was they agree to wash his clothes and maintain he was at the flat all night. When Peter's then taken to the police station for questioning, after Anne revealing how aggressive he was when Carla signed the factory over, he sticks to his story claiming that after leaving the Bistro he went straight home. On the street Jason finds a broken whisky bottle in the builder's skip covered in blood and hands it to the police. Have they got their murder weapon? Back at the station Peter's feeling the pressure and when they demand to know how Peter could have bought a bottle of whisky from an off licence when he claimed to be with Carla it looks like the net is closing in!
RITA'S HEARTBROKEN AS DENNIS PREPARES TO LEAVE. Dennis confesses to Tina that he doesn't want to leave Rita. Rita meanwhile confides in Audrey that she's devastated that Dennis is going. But will either admit their feelings before it's too late?
SUNITA AND KARL ARE FRUSTRATED BY THEIR PARTNERS. As Karl mourns the loss of his satellite dish he complains he's just Stella's hired help. Sunita's dissatisfied with her lot too as Dev refuses to cancel a business meeting for a night out. All dressed up with nowhere to go she heads to the Bistro where Karl takes one look and suggests he take her to the casino. Will Sunita agree?
Elsewhere when Lesley scalds herself with the kettle Dr Carter advises Eileen and Paul that they need help. Lewis presents Audrey with a silver bracelet as a thankyou for defending him to Gail. Meanwhile when Nick finds £50 missing from the till Gail tells him it's bound to be Lewis. Did he take the cash to fund Audrey's gift?
Friday 9th March at 8.30pm
THE FINGER OF GUILT POINTS AT CARLA. Under relentless questioning, Peter admits to the police that he was drunk and has no idea where he was when Frank was murdered. But in no position yet to charge him they're forced to let Peter go. Back on the street Peter accuses Carla of thinking he killed Frank and refusing to go home with her he heads to the pub where he continues to drink. Meanwhile Anne has found the new factory contract is mysteriously missing from Frank's desk and conveys the significance of this to the police. Combined with the finger print analysis on the whisky bottle the police are now convinced they've got their murderer and head to the street to make an arrest. Are they coming back for Peter or are all eyes now on Carla?
AUDREY WRONGFULLY ACCUSES LEWIS. When Gail accuses Lewis of stealing the £50 and Nick doesn't back him he resigns on the spot. Hearing this Audrey confronts him about where he got the money for the bracelet. Lewis is crushed. When Eva then arrives back having been shopping for the Bistro Nick and Audrey realise their mistake. Horrified Audrey goes after Lewis.
RITA AND DENNIS BREAK THEIR NEWS. Rita returns home with Dennis to drop his bags before they head off to the Rovers to reveal their big news. How will their friends react?
Elsewhere Karl and Sunita return to the street on a high after a great night at the casino, both agree not to mention it to their partners. Paul and Lesley head to the Bistro for a night off.

Hm it should have been Michelle, then she could have been written out as she should have been when her contract expired in June. The character is becoming a JOKE strutting around when she is a totally pointless nobody.
"Wash his clothes"? Hello? Haven't they heard of Luminol? Don't they watch forensic procedural dramas? Burn them, for heaven's sake!
But thenof course forensics could also prove it's NOT Frank's blood ... just a pity Peter hasn't a clue whether it is or not, as the shirt that could exonerate him could also hang him (figuratively, of course!)
Did Lesley burn herself while Eileen and Paul were having a clandestine canoodle? Honestly, this storyline is becoming as revolting as the Molly/Kevin one.
It just seemed to obvious that Anne is the murderer and is setting up Carla.
