I haven't watched EastEnders in years, but news this week that Nick Cotton is returning to the show (even though he's dead) made me smile. I remember him being a thoroughly nasty piece of work - and great fun to watch.
It got me thinking about the Corrie bad lads and villains, murderers and scum bags that have walked the cobbles over the years.
Which one, if you had to choose just one, would you like to return (even from the dead)?
My vote would go to the wonderful Jez Quigley. "Steve McDonald... come on down!"

It's a battle between Charlie Stubbs and Tony Gordon for me.
So many great baddies! Stape was more a stumbling idiot than a baddie, really, but Tony Gordon was good and Phelan was one of the greats, too.
Terry Duckworth .... defo
Absolutely 100% Jez Quigley!
Tony Gordon.
Tony Gordon was great. He had so many layers to his character; he really loved Maria and baby, and yet he'd murdered Liam. John Stape was hilarious and totally forgivable. And who can forget the best baddie of all - Alan Bradley, the first of Corrie's 'Gaslight' villains?
The girl that died in the freezer at the grocery store - can't remember her name...
Let's get Feely Phelan back to receive his soap law justice.
As for baddies, I'm always glad to see the back of them!
Tony Gordon.
And perhaps his henchman Jimmy Dockerson (played by Jane Danson's real life husband Robert Beck).
Karl Munro would be interesting but he hasn't got much to return to.
I would also love Terry to return and set up his lap dancing business, that would get up the noses of the do gooders of the street.
Anonymous above - the girl who died in the freezer was Anne Malone :-)
Mad Maya!
Tony Gordon!! He was truly menacing. Yet oddly the best partner that Maria has ever had...
Rebecca in To
Tony Gordon, definitely! I agree, I'd love to see Phelan get his comeuppance (interesting how he drove the family into bankruptcy, a state he is currently in himself). I think another Tony (Jason's dad) is shaping up to be a fine baddie although time will tell if he will be as large and evil a figure as the rest (I suspect not and that he will muddle along at Terry Duckworth-level self-interest rather than true epic villainy).
Tony Gordon!!! absolutely loved him! Would love to see his henchman Jimmy back too.
I'm all about Jez as the ultimate Corrie baddie. It's a shame he's dead. He was absolutely creepy!
Tony Gordon and Jez Quigley are the two greatest Corrie villains of all time!
Tony Gordon was an awesome villain - I don't remember him being identified - just that 2 bodies were recovered after the fire.
Tanya Pooley!!
Tony Gordon was good, and Terry needs to return every so often to cause trouble (need a new Tommy....... btw isn't Paul, the oldest son out of prison by now for burning the restaurant down for Leanne? There was another Duckworth child too wasn't there - Brad? Sorry I digress)
To the point, I'd love to see Tania Pooley come back, not for long, just tocause mayhem for a while.
Mad Maya! And please let her finish the job, and kill Dev!
Well I would like to see Richard Hillman come back just so he could drive Maddeahhh, Sophie, Katy and Nick into the canal.
KIRSTY!
First to my mind is Terry Duckworth...be great to have a 'Duckie' back on the street!
I liked Phelan... but for me, Rick Neelan was the best baddie since Jez Quigley - MENACING!
I would love for Jez Quigley to come back to corrie he was sooo good looking he was funny he had a an awesome smile
