Heard on BBC 6 radio today that Adam Rickitt, who played Nick Tilsley v.2 on Coronation Street, is trying to ressurect his music career. Oh, so looks like his bid for political stardom failed then. Anyway, Adam's headlining and will perform his brand new single as well as an updated version of his 1999 hit ‘Breathe Again’ at Liverpool Pride on Saturday August 7th and at Leeds Pride on August 1st.
The press release out today about his er, resurrection, says that he's been away acting in New Zealand's Shortland Street soap, where apparently he's quite big.
Relive 'Breathe Again' here. Go on, you know you want to.

He is quite big over here in NZ, and to be honest he's qutie a good actor mainly cause his character really good
It's all too horrible... he truly is the very epitome of the glory-seeking fame hound.
He's been written out of Shortland Street, so he's back in the UK, re-recording his non-hit, touting himself around the gay pride events, and no doubt appearing on the likes of Loose Women and suchlike.
Pass the bucket.
Ugh, did we have to see this photo? I agree with the second Anon poster, he made a big deal about staying in NZ and loving it so much and the minute he is written off his soap, he's back home rather than looking for other work in his supposedly beloved adopted country. Maybe nobody would hire him? And if re-recording his one and only lacklustre hit is all he can do, that certainly says a lot.
tvor you are such an idiot, adam left nz of his own accord,he was offered the part of nick again in corrie but turned it down as he wants to try doing his music again,he is much better looking than the current nick,he has a great future ahead of him be it music ,theatre,tv or politics.what have you got
