Coronation Sheep go on display

Jayne Tunnicliffe, who played Coronation Street's fab Yana Lumb has created pop art sheep for the Flock to Skipton Event.

The sheep include a Bet Lynch Coronation Sheep, John Lennon All You Need is Love sheep, and a skeletal Baa-Bones sheep.

Jayne said: “The idea of the Coronation Sheep was mutton dressed as lamb. It’s also the 50th anniversary of the show. I’m not sure what Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch) would think about being made to look like a sheep though.

The Coronation Sheep has been sponsored by the Skipton Building Society after it was voted top design by members of staff, and will be placed in the High Street branch.

Flock to Skipton will be launched on Saturday, August 14, at Art in the Pen at Skipton Auction Mart. The sheep will be seen out in the town the following week.
