There's a shelf-full of books being released for Coronation Street's 50th anniversary later this year. Ooh, and just in time for Christmas too. Here's a quick run down of what you can expect to see turning up in the shops, many of which you can pre-order on Amazon too.
Fifty Years of Coronation Street by Tim Randall
- will be published as a £20 hardback on 14th October. Headline will be releasing this official title promising to be the "definitive book on five decades of life on the street". The book will include profiles of 50 "Coronation Street" characters—from Ena Sharples to David Platt—along with interviews with present personalities and extracts from the script.
Coronation Street Treasures (updated for the 50th) by Tim Randall
- will include CD featuring show highlights and will published on 14th October priced £30.
Coronation Street: The Complete Saga (updated for the 50th) by Glenda Young (me!)
- will be published by Carlton as a £14.99 paperback on 14th October.
Ultimate Unofficial Coronation Street Quiz Book by Ed Cobham
- a new title from Summersdale for Corrie fans to test their knowledge. The will be published as a £5.99 paperback on 4th October.
Coronation Street: BFI TV Classics by Andy Medhurst (British Film Institute)
- to be published as a £12 paperback on 30th November
Official ITV Coronation Street Annual 2011
- to be published as a £7.99 hardback on 1st October
50 Years of Coronation Street: The (Very) Unofficial Story
- to be published as an £18.99 hardback on 25th September.

You've updated that book that many times they're going to have to put your name on the cover too and pay you royalties!
Royalties would be lovely but it just ain't gonna happen ;-) and my nane's inside the book but in tiny tiny print but they did include it on amazon, which was lovely!
