Poundland have two new store openings this weekend and they've got two Coronation Street actors to do the opening honours.Katherine Kelly (Becky McDonald) will be at the new Poundland on Week Street in Maidstone on Saturday 17th July. She'll be at the store form 10am until 1pm.
And Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) will be at the new Poundland in King Street, Whitehaven on Saturday. He'll be at the store from 10am unti 1pm.

What is it with Poundland shops and Corrie stars?. Do they ever use any non Corrie personalities to open their shops? And it always seems to be either Kirk (Andy Whyment) or Sean (Anthony Cotton) doing the honours so it's nice to see somebody else, Becky (played by Katherine Kelly) for a change getting in on the act!
I think "Becky" has opened a fair few in her time. I never visit a Poundland now as they don't stock Vesta Beef Risottos.
