Where's Amber?

It must be nearly a year since Amber went off to university in that London. When the character was axed we were told that she'd be back occasionally but never mind the Christmas and Easter breaks, we've had nearly the whole of the summer without her returning to Coronation Street to see her dad. I suppose she must have spent it all in Scandanavia with her mam or back in that London, though with Sunita & Dev back together you'd have thought she'd pop back if only to see her step sister and brother and touch her father up for some cash.

With Ryan Connor about to make a similar departure, can we conclude that the same fate awaits? At least with him out of the way the problem with the embarrassing fake Ryan storyline is more likley to fade from the collective memory.

Yeah, and where's Ted?

Unfortunately, Corrie has an uncanny knack of leaving out good actors and keeping in the not-so-good!

Ted would have certainly been around for Gail's court case or seeing off Audrey to Spain. Come on script writers - get it together.

I miss Amber, I really miss Ted, but I won't miss Ryan (although his hair deserves a plotline of its own);))

I try my best to.

I think it's a shame that Amber hasn't made a reappearance. Maybe it's the actress' choice, and she's at uni herself. But now that the Alahans are having bigger storylines, I think she would have fitted in really well. It would have been interesting to see how Sunita would be with her considering the reason she split with Dev was because of all the extra children she didn't know about.

I really miss Amber! She was great.. a teenager who wasn't a minx or vixen.. who wanted more out of life than her dad's corner shop! And I loved how she kept Dev in line...

Well to balance the books out Jim and Nora, I couldn't disagree with you more and I know many others do with regards to Pam.

She is a funny character and can also be serious - just love it when she piles the pressure on Kevin.

Can't wait to see her back in full swing.

Dear "anonymous" - I'm now going to start considering the Aunty Pam comments as spam and delete them if you continue this - posting aunty pam comments in batches on different blog posts. We will also not run any further PR releases on "Aunty Pam" when you fail to mention that other Coronation Street actors are involved. That was very unfair. Consider this a tap on the wrist. Glenda
