There's a Coronation Street spoiler in today's Sun that says Jim McDonald is going to be beaten up by Owen Armstrong. No doubt it'll be over their affections for leggy Liz.

I really hope not. Owen doesnt seem the fighting type like Jim. Wouldnt really make sense to me.

Poor Owen; he knows not what he does.
He better hope Jim never finds out who's behind it all, because doing that to Jim, will be just like poking a stick at a sleeping tiger - an irritation that will just make Jim blazing mad - then Owen will find he has Jim's full, complete, and undivided attention. In other words: has Owen made a will?
Poor Liz too - is she forever doomed to sooner or later get teamed up with yet another man who's no stranger to violence?

Anonymous, I think they are trying to make Owen like Stubbs the builder, nasty stubble an all. The other differencr was Charlie was quite good looking and you could believe that women would fall for him. Owen is vile. I do not want to see big Jim, who must be getting on a bit now, beaten up, to be sure not.
Owen can't stay very long, though. Isn't the actor who plays him going to be a regular on Waterloo Road?
Agreed that we don't really need another Charlie Stubbs on the street, although it is good to have a villain around.
I reckon the only way you could actually get the better of Big Jim is taking him by surprise. Even with odds against him he'd put up a pretty good fight and take a few down with him.

I hope Jim doesn't get a total doing or anything really nasty - but mano a mano out on the cobbles - had to happen!
