Coronation Street Blog on ITV News

On the Weatherfield cobbles today, William Roache (Ken Barlow) was interviewed about Coronation Street's 50th anniversary for ITV News.

Look behind William and you'll see me (purple coat) and our blogger Sunny Jim (brown coat) stuffing our faces with Hollands Pies!  Fame at last!

Nice clip! Good to hear the recognition as well that Corrie is now, as a result of the US soap "As the World Turns" finishing a week ago, the longest running serial in the world and Bill Roache is the longest running actor in a single role!

And for the overseas gang, here's a BBC news clip on the same event. Sadly, didn't see our heros in purple and brown. Has anyone found the ITV version on YouTube?
