It’s the day of truth next week in Coronation Street when Rita gets the results of the biopsy on her brain tumour.
But will it be good news or bad? We’re not sure yet and Corrie are keeping this one close to their hearts. We’ll have to watch to find out – with our fingers crossed that all will be well for the Queen of the Street.
When this story was first leaked to the tabloids, the rumour mill went into overdrive with stories of Rita being killed off. Let's hope that all of those stories weren't true.
And earlier this year, Corrie producer Kate Oates told Radio Times that there was a story she was working on for 2018 which "scares her". I wondered at the time whether she could be considering killing off Rita. You can read my thoughts here.
