Inside Soap Awards - Coronation Street's Best Bad Girl Nominations


Voting is now open in this year's Inside Soap awards.

Every day this week we're highlighting each of the categories you can vote in and turning the spotlight on to the characters and actors in the show who have been nominated.

Today it's the award for Best Bad Girl

Up for nomination are two actresses as follows:

Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price) and Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor).

See, now, I wouldn't consider either one a bad girl, not in general. For this one storyline? Ok, maybe but when I think of a "bad girl" I think of someone that "makes a living out of it" so to speak.

I'm with Tvor, I wouldn't consider them a bad girls in general.

Look at the plot where Eva freed the polish 'slave' from the O'Driscolls - if she were truly bad she would never have done that.

Maria neither - she's just daft, but not bad.

Why isn't Tracey in this competition? She'd win hands down!

Tracy hasn't actually been bad recently though.

Yeah, I passed on this one. Eva is silly and Maria just isn't too bright (and has known mental health issues). Nasty pre-Ken's stroke Tracy, Ty's Kirsty, Gemma's chav friends, they are all bad girls. Those two are just trying to look fierce up in an Aiden shaped arena. And failing. They're both going to lose and we'll feel bad for them. You don't feel bad for bad girls.
