Here's a preview picture from the episode of Coronation Street to be shown on Monday 19th September 2016.
Sharif’s
guilt-ridden after sleeping with Sonia (oh 'eck!) and when she
starts criticising Yasmeen’s taste, Sharif forbids
her from mocking his wife.
Sonia’s chastened but as Sharif places a hand on her back, Alya walks in and clocks their intimacy.

Soap law: secrets never stay secret. I presume this leads to Sharif leaving the show. I'll miss him, but on the other hand, I don't blame him as he isn't being cast in any real storylines.
Ah well, it had to happen. The cat's out of the bag
Obviously, this is Sharif's exit story so let's make Yasmeen the strong, independent woman who doesn't need a man to feel valid.
Oh Humpty Dumpty, if only...
If Sharif leaves and if Yasmeen can get around that Tracy ultimately killed Kal thingee, I would like Ken and Yasmeen together. They must have known each other from the library days. They are cultured, perfect for the next time Waiting for Godot is in town. Even if they were only friends, I'd like to see them given more chances to exchange complete sentences with polysyllabic words and watch the rest of the gang react.
Oh, and Alya needs more to do than this. What happened to her ambitious career?
abbyk. Kal thingee? Also, you've got Yasmeen in a relationship with Ken already? She doesn't even know her husband's having an affair yet! A bit presumptuous?
This family went nowhere fast..time to hit the road IMO
I wasn't aware that Marc Anwar was leaving his role in Coronation Street? Has this been confirmed and have I missed something? Or is it just assumptions that this is how the storyline will end?
