Barry returns to Coronation Street next week

Barry? 'Barry, who?' I bet you're saying. Or maybe not.  But if I'd put 'Daddy Connor' returns to Coronation Street then there'd be no fun in reading on.  Okay then. Daddy Connor returns to Coronation Street.

Barrington "Barry" Connor is back for his daughter Michelle's wedding to Steve next week.

Whether Mammy Connor will return with the Irish silver fox remains to be seen.

The last time Daddy was on the show was after Barry and Helen had fallen out and he turned up in the Rovers making a pass at Liz.

If Barry can come over from Ireland, Steve's brother, Andy, came over from Amsterdam/Spain (forget where).

Oh yes please, would love to see Andy MacDonald - never really understood why they wrote him out.

I'd love to see Andy back. I always liked him.

Didn't he try it on with Liz last time he was around? Surely they won't come up with some lame excuse for Michelle's mum not to be there?

What about Michelle's son? The one switched at birth and then abandoned when he tried to reunite? Also Ryan, the one who was her main focus in life? Guess the invites were lost in the mail.

Barry could have been a good character but they made him a bit creepy. Is Mammy Connor returning as well?

Mammy is going to be there - she's listed in the credits in next week's Radio Times.

Mammy Connor is great! It's a bit weird that there's been no mention of Ryan for months but that's typical.

It's almost as if Michelle never had a son.
