Coronation Street's new set has been given the all clear, according to the Manchester Evening News. Opposition from the nearby Hovis building claiming that the building of the new set could cause congestion in the area was revealed yesterday, but even in light of these claims the set has been given the go-ahead from Trafford Council.
The new set will be built across the river from the Media City base in Salford, and will be completed in late 2012.
