If you're interested in following Bruce Jones' day in court on a drink-driving charge where he admitted to trying to kill himself and his wife and his wife revealed that she's suffered years of abuse from him, then, the full story is here.
Bruce, you may remember, played Les Battersby on Coronation Street and he lost his job on Corrie because of alcohol-related problems.
His wife told the court that on the day of the incident, Bruce said he had been thinking of a career change. She added: "He often spoke about becoming a gangster."

What a sad business all round.
The man's an idiot.
I don't like to judge ...people get in trouble -- that seems to be the human condition. I hope he finds his way back to at least some balance and normalcy. I did enjoy his portrayal of Les Battersby.
Yes, sea penguine -- sad business all 'round.
I'm not judging, merely stating a fact.
He was sometimes quite good at playing Les Battersby despite his lack of acting talent. I guess he did't actually have to act too much to play the role as from all accounts the actor himself and role he played were pretty similar......both deadbeat wastes of space.
