Keith Duffy quits Corrie

Keith Duffy, who plays Ciaran McCarthy, is to quit Coronation Street for the second time to concentrate on his band, Boyzone.

The Sunday People reports that Keith snubbed producers' pleas for him to sign a new deal into next year.

Keith said: "I need to concentrate on being with the boys. We've got a lot coming up so I've decided they'll take priority. I love the show so it's been a hard decision. But I know it's right."

Shame. A real shame. Seems pretty pointless in him returning now in the first place.

Nothing lost.
As said above, why return?

Still, his boy band is on the go again after the death of Stephen.

He's going to be here most of this year. Sounds like he already had a lot on for next year to begin with.

Not bovvered in the slightest. He has rather "used" Corrie for his own convenience.

Why on earth would anyone care?

Not only is he an UTTERLY rubbish actor, but he offers nothing to the series whatsoever.
