Former Vicar of Dibley actor James Fleet is joining Coronation Street as Tony Gordon's new henchman. The official Corrie site reports that James will take on the role of Robbie, Tony's prison cellmate.Since Tony's incarceration at the end of last year, he has been plotting his prison break and revenge. Realising that he needs help, Tony quickly enlists Robbie and plans to use him as his eyes and ears on the Street.
Fleet is due to begin filming within the next couple of weeks and will make his screen debut at the end of May.
