I havent watched for a few weeks (needed a break from Corrie xD) but I thought they were hilarious last night xD
You did ask!
Appalling acting, silly story, same actress that played DEV's Auntie, un interesting, not even about Corrie as Sunita does not live in Coronation Street, gives rise to more dreadful acting from Dev. What's to like?
It's a pity Uncle Umed seems to have been written out - it'd be great to have a Umed/Auntie romance, maybe even a love triangle.
Rachel, up till now I haven't been able to stand the aunties, but uncle Umed/love triangle - I'm seeing them in a whole new light! however, unless that happens, I'm in full agreement with Willie.
I think they're funny.
I say keep the Aunties and get rid of Dev and Sunita!
Oh i think they're harmless fun.
Im sorry but any scene with Dev is a winner.willie his acting isnt dreadful!
Two aunties who are still young enough to be good cooks, good cleaners, and babysitters...yes, they're nosy and gossipy, but if Corrie doesn't want 'em, they can move in with me, hubby, and my kids!
News Guy, are you Jimmi Harkishan?
No im Harish Patel!
What's happened to the kebab shop since Darryl left? Dev still owns that, doesn't he? why not put the aunties in there so they can do something useful instead of poking around in Sunita's bedroom?!! (I've always liked Dev as a character by the way - it's just this storyline that's making me barf)
Seapenguin,
what a brilliant suggestion! They can poke around instead on the goings on of the entire street while dishing out their brand of homespun wisdom to whomever will listen.
Ohhh... bring on the curry kebobs...yum yum... bring on Theresa with her superior curry recipe to give the aunties a slightly hot time.
Seapenguin,
I agree! That'd be fantastic. They could work with Theresa when she sells her currie there. At least they'd be relevant to the street.
That was another one of my issues - they're Sunita's aunts and she's not even a Coronation Street resident. Plus, I don't personally like Dev and Sunita, so the fact that the Aunties are nosy with them is boring the bejesus out of me. If they worked behind the kebab counter and nosed at everyone who came in (a la norris) it'd be far more entertaining!
Clarity: I like DEV, he's annoying, but I like the character. I don't particularly like Sunita and I don't really like Dev and Sunita together. I like adulterous trouble Dev.
