Oh dear. Those automated telemarketing calls have come under fire lately. The Labour Party is being smacked down for using a pre-recorded automated call featuring Liz Dawn's voice to people who had not given their consent to receiving the call. This actually happened a couple of years ago but apparently there were more complaints in 2009 so there has been an enforcement notice laid on due to breech of privacy. Has anyone received a call from Vera or another famous voice? They do use actors who support their parties for things like this. It would be a little bit cool if it weren't for the annoyance of an automated call, often called a "robocall".
