The Writers' Guild of Great Britain has honoured the Coronation Street writing team with an award for the best continuing TV drama. The prestigious annual awards took place on Sunday at London's Free Word Centre. The Writers' Guild is the trade union which represents writers in TV, radio, theatre, books, poetry, film, online and video games. A full list of winners is here.

There is some good writing and funny lines, especially for Graeme and Blanche, just need to cull some of the dead wood and not use certain characters in every scene and I am sure more Awards will be in the offing.
