Brian Tilsley is alive and well and in panto

Chris Quentin, who you'll remember played Coronation Street's Brian Tilsley - dad of Nick and Sarah, husband to Gail and soft-lad son of Ivy - is in panto this Christmas. Chris plays King Bumble at the Thwaites Empire in Blackburn.

Have a look here for a full list of ex-Corrie actors doing panto this Christmas.

Blast from the past - good luck to him! suppose there's no way he could be resurrected and written into a Corrie storyline? maybe as Joe's conscience or something? now THAT would be an interesting one!

After being dead for 20 years it would be a bit of a shock for Gail.

I remember Chris leaving Corrie 20 years ago as he got a bit of adulatoon to seek his fortune in Hollywood. Another one who thought himself bigger than the show. Perhaps he could appear in a dream to Gail though, to tell her to dump the hanger on Joe!

He was a *terrible* actor! He was commonly known among the corrie net fans way back when as The Plank. The first Nick, his son, was Plank II and Adam Rickett was PIII

He didn't leave to seek his fortune in Hollywood. He married a Hollywood TV star and wanted to live with his wife where she worked - how unreasonable! Granada forced him out.

He got stabbed outside of a nightclub.
