Shirley Stelfox played the following four roles in Coronation Street:
  • Norma in January 1964
  • A Barmaid in April 1965
  • Margot Sutcliffe, the proprietor of the Bill & Coo Video Dating Agency in May 1983

  • Blackpool landlady Shirley Henderson who appeared in September 1993 and July 1994.

Sad news. I watch Emmerdale too and she will be missed. I didn't know Shirley was in Corrie as well. Lovely photo of her there as the Blackpool landlady, Flaming Nora.

Her real life sister was also an extra on Corrie for many years.

Just reading the announcement in Radio Times, and didn't realize Shirley also played Hyacinth's sister Rose in keeping Up Appearances. Quite different from her Emmerdale role!

Shirley will be sadly missed for her varied career and her character roles. Unfortunately it seems to be the 1980s again where we lost all the greats of the time :(
