Here's a preview picture from Coronation Street which will be shown in the first episode on Friday 16 October.
It seems as if Sarah's at snapping point, unable to keep calm about Callum's death any longer. When
Billy witnesses Sarah arguing with Todd, he’s concerned about her. Todd then explains to Billy how
he and Sarah have history. When Billy approaches Sarah she panics.
Will she
confide her fears and the Platt family secrets to the vicar, do you think?

Since the Platts are not religious and considering that there's been little interaction between Sarah,Billy or even Todd,I find her sudden need to confess to Billy about Callum's death suspicious and even though Kylie did it to protect her.Sarah is going to set her and David up while she escapes to Milan aware that Billy may be compelled to go to the police.
I get that Billy is a caring person and feels he has a pastoral role to his neighbours. However it seems very contrived. I hope Billy thinks Sarah is having a breakdown and is imagining things. Even if the police become involved again, that could be a good storyline with Sarah telling the truth and them not believing her. After all, there's no evidence.
I'm not sure I like the way the writers are shoe horning Billy into this story. Very clunky, you could almost see thought bubbles above his head when Sarah had a wobbly in the pub.
Not that the writers put it into the script, but Billy might have gotten closer to the Platts as a result of the attack on Jason. Given Sean's close relationship with Eileen, this alone could justify a new connection for Billy with the Platt saga. I agree, however, that the sudden run-in on the street was terribly contrived.
