Kev Webster's new garage on Viaduct Street

Last night on Coronation Street, Sophie showed dad Kevin premises for sale on Viaduct Street with a view to him buying it to extend Websters' Autos.  I'm loving the sound of this storyline because it gives Sophie something to do, a real storyline she can get her teeth into, finally.

But it's made me curious about the premises on Viaduct Street and I wonder if anyone can shed any light on what the building has been used for in the past, if anything?

Here's a screen grab from last night's episode of Corrie with Kev and Sophie at the premises.

Here's a picture of it as it currently is on the set.

Here are two old pictures with my arrows pointing at the premises.  The boarded up arch under the viaduct next door to Kev's possible new garage must be the old nightclub 7th Heaven which Terry Duckworth opened. Am I right? If not, can someone help me understand Viaduct Street a bit better please! Ta!

And here's 7th Heaven when it was up for sale (before it was boarded up). It's next door to Nick's Bistro.

I totally agree with you. I am also enjoying this storyline and hoping Sophie finally gets some storylines to get her teeth into.

I may be wrong about the building but wasn't that where Rob and Tracy had their final altercation before he got arrested? Maybe that's where they'll find him, still hiding in there? We know he's coming back too at some point. :)

Is that where Jim McDonald had his motorbike repair shop?

Oh, I'd forgotten that. I hope that they'll find a decent use for Terry's still-born strip joint, now that the arches to either side of it are being put to use. It would serve to counterbalance the top-heavy Rosamund/Victoria St end of the Street.

Oh yes i thought it was the nightclub but it looks like it's the next archway over. Yep, Jim Mac had a bike repair under one of them when they first moved in.

I was also wondering about the old Terry Duckworth place. Wasn't Nick going to buy it to expand. Maybe a good time. The other place that intrigues me is the hardware store visible from the side of the Rovers called Eccles Hardware. Why do we never have any interaction with the possible business owners of these establishments? Could prove interesting.

Mr Eccles looks like he's been there for a long time, judging by his signage. This could explain why Sally's hardware shop that she started with Danny Hargrieves came to nothing.

if kevin Webster bought the building next to nicks bistro how come we never see the new garage and why is nick tilsley buying next to the bisto to open a new one when it should be kevins garage?
