Digital Spy reveals that the actor has landed the guest role of Adrian, who is introduced to the cobbles when Eileen decides to try internet dating.
Moraghan announced his own casting on Twitter after filming his first scenes last week, but details of his role can be confirmed for the first time today.

Adrian will make his first appearance on screen in April and a Coronation Street spokesperson told Digital Spy that he will be sticking around for at least a few months.
Eileen has a history of heartbreak in the romance department, so it remains to be seen whether life dating Adrian will be any happier for her.

Oh God, that means more screen time for one of my most hated characters. Boo...........
I love Eileen and I am so happy she has a storyline!
fab news i am glad eileen is getting another chap
This current round of casting is making our beloved Corrie out to be the new 'Bill' which used to get all the 'I used to be in a soap, now I'm in The Bill' casting.
Come on have some imagination, there are perfect actors out there who would be ideal for these roles instead of re-hashing the same old has been, whichI find an insult. Corrie & it's audience deserve better than this.
Love Eileen too! I wonder how this storyline will dovetail with Todd's interference? It sounded ominous at the end of last night's episode when he promised to "take care" of his mum...
I don't mind Eileen getting a new fella. They do seem to be bringing in a lot of new people though. It's been a real revolving door. Let's hope this dude is not wimpy like Paul and doesn't break her heart or turn out like Lewis Archer etc...
Maybe he will make her see the light about Todd and she'll throw him out for good!
And personally, I don't really care where they get the actors from. If they are good working actors, chances are they have been on other shows, so the face will be familiar. I kinda love that actually.
Watching Murdoch Mysteries, it was great to see Chris G. on screen again with the Thomas Craig character, Inspector Brackenreid.
I love Eileen. Please keep her humour and give her some happiness.
Yes, please make him be as nice as Dennis Stringer.
Unfortunately, poor Jason will have to suffer his mother's gloating about her new love while he's heartbroken over losing Eva.
I think there was a missed opportunity for Tony's and Tracy's affair being exposed by Todd's schemes but alas instead that storyline will drag on too.
I'm all for any storyline where the Grimshaws are featured.
Aww, I love Eileen and I really want to see her find some lasting love. She gets enough storylines that a love life doesn't have to be an actual storyline, you can just give her a fella and have one extra person at the table when everything kicks off.
Funny, I was just thinking the other day that Eileen has been without a fella since Paul left...I loved Paul and Eileen together...it was too bad that relationship ended....anyways, here's hoping, this one may last!
The cast already feels bloated yet they keep announcing new characters. Less is more.
Here we go again, Eileen gets yet another man who will yet again turn out to be unsuitable. Stop this boring merry go round and write out this sour bitter character.
Hear hear Frosty!
Corrie is in danger of becoming unwatchable with this influx of actors from other programmes. There are new actors out there who deserve a chance at starting off in an established soap.
I'm half expecting Barbara Windsor to turn up as the re-cast Deidre.
Eileen has always had the role of the unlucky in love character but it's time for a change. What the Street needs is a few constant couples, as you would have in real life, so that storylines don't end up focussing on love affairs. Fine, give Eileen a new man and keep them together. Not because Eileen particularly deserves to be happy; I don't care that much about the character. But it would allow other kinds of storylines to develop for Eileen as part of a couple. I hope the same happens for Nick and Leanne. I'm too cynical and detached from Corrie these days to want characters to be happy. I'm just fed up with the inevitable cheating, lying and bed-hopping.
I wonder instead of spoilers about the latest new character arriving on the Street, when is Anna Kirkbride's[Deirdre]death going to be acknowledged?Ken is rarely seen anymore nor does Liz ask about her former 'best friend'.It seems weird and unrealistic that Deirdre would be at Bev's all this time without nary a word to her family.
