Pic: Tonight on Corrie - Kirsty hits Julie

Tonight on Coronation Street is when it all starts to unravel for Kirsty when she loses her temper with the lovely Julie, and hits her.

So, could this be the picture on which Tyrone's trial turns?  What will Julie do after Kirsty attacks her tonight - when she's already witnessed Kirsty's mania first hand earlier this week?

If Julie goes to the cops and changes her statement from defence to prosecution (or however these things work) will that be enough to get Kirsty locked up and Tyrone off the hook?  Ooh, I do hope so.

How I would like to do that to Gloria!!!

Dear Frosty , please calm down. Gloria is only doing what the scriptwriters tell her to.
Sue J is a national treasure and makes what she can of what she's given . In my opinion the character needs a rewrite

If it's right that Kirsty goes on the run with Ruby, my guess is that the trial will have to be halted while she's tracked down. She will obviously be found (at Mum's?), and Ruby will be taken into temporary care. There will be a whole load of charges against Kirsty, leading to Tyrone getting sole custody. The only question now is how exactly does Kirsty leave.

Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has revealed that his character Sean Tully will be involved in the climax of the Tyrone and Kirsty storyline.
This was from March 14 where Cotton said: "I'm in the court stuff... there's a discovery and I end up roped in.

So if the trial now hinges on Kirsty assaulting Julie he must have had his facts wrong or was reading the script for some other soap.

I really wish they would have followed up on the pictures in the phone and have them recovered as part of the evidence against Kirsty.
As part of Tyrone's testimony under examination the pictures are mentioned and when asked where they are Tyrone admits they were deleted and his lawyer asks if they tried to recover them Tyrone says no.
The lawyer then sets about getting the phone and sends it out to see if the pictures can be recovered to prove Tyrone's testimony that Kirsty was the batterer not the batteree.

Small point but the exterior of court for Tyrone's trial is different from the previous court exteriors. For Frank Foster's they used Bolton Library. So Weatherfield has only the one hospital but multiple court houses?

I too am surprised about the phone pictures not being mentioned though maybe Tyrone and Fiz are not tech savvy enough to realize that police forensics would probably be able to recover them. Even if Julie reported the hit from Kirsty to the police, really it would only be her word against Kirsty and unless there was video and multiple witnesses, I don't see how that would change the court proceedings.

I thought that when Tina and Tommy went to the police to tell their side of what they knew of Kirsty battering Tyrone that the phone and pictures were mentioned and the police should have asked for the phone.
I could be wrong that the pictures on the phone were mentioned but they made such a production out of showing the phone and pictures being deleted that it seems that they originally were going to be important to the trial but I guess they couldn't come up with a way to have then recovered so just ignored it as they have done so many other things regarding the domestic abuse story line.
Julie rushing to court to claim that Kirsty assaulted her and therefore Tyrone is innocent is ridiculous.
Who would she tell the police and if they did decide to look into it the trial would be over long before the investigation into Julie's claims would be done, so Tyrone would still be found guilty.

Given the number of people who end up on trial from one street alone, Weatherfield probably needs many, many courthouses. On the other hand, if you have a hospital that provides magical instant cures, you only need one.

What about the time Tyrone went to the hospital after being beaten by Kirsty, I don't remember it being mentioned. Surely there must be records of that. That would be evidence of an assault. How many patients does Dr. Carter see if he can remember the details so clearly of Tyrone bringing Ruby in to be checked out when she was 2 weeks old? It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out.

Kirsty filmed her final scenes the same day as Sunita. Even allowing for the fact that filming is done out of sequence, I'd imagine she won't be on screen much longer...

They did bring up Tyrone's hospital visit. I wrote my last comment before I saw the show. I'm so glad they just didn't overlook that. Tyrone did a brilliant job on the stand. And it looks like Kirsty is going to get what she deserves very soon.
