There are not many Coronation Street actors who you can give the tag 'legend' to but I think Bill Tarmey who passed away yesterday was one of them, and indeed Bill Roache, who plays Corrie's Ken Barlow, is another.
And in today's Sun, Bill Roache himself writes an article, putting his memories of Corrie co-star Bill Tarmey down in writing.
Bill ends the piece by saying: "Everyone respected him and his views. He was always rock solid. He was a very
lovable guy and really, really will be missed."
It is indeed a very fitting memoir and most definitely worth a read. It's here.
Bill Tarmey's obituary is here.

Very good, I wonder if Nigel Pivaro (Terry) will write anything as he is a journalist I think and he and Bill were very friendly in real life.
