Did you guess Frank Foster's killer?

Well, we now know who killed Frank on Coronation Street!  It was his mum Anne after all!

Did you guess the murderer?  And what do you think the fall-out of the story will be in the weeks to come?

Well done to ITV and Coronation Street for one of the best kept telly secrets, ever.

Great ep. And how fit did Maria, Michelle and Carla look - agreed with Steve! Nice twist that Sally tripped and she wasn't attacked.

knew it was but anne, but hoped it might be jenny after a twist, alas no

I guessed correctly that it would be Anne.
"A murderer always returns to the scene of the crime."

I can stop stress eating the maltesers, turkish delight and tube of rolos now? er.. no... I've started, so I'll finish thank you!!!

Hardly a secret really - Anne carried herself as though she had a truth to hide, especially after Franks revelation.
Sally was just convenient afterall and I wouldn't have put it past Anne to slip Franks watch to either Sally or Carla or anyone else who visited the factory that night - possibly, to frame Jenny.
Oooo, we like a good drama don't we?!
Right... coffee break before I head onto round 2 of the stressy choc-fest!

It's all in Sallys hands now - she has to recover and let the police know what she knows!
Herald the start of 'BUHBYE ANNE! NICE KNOWIN' YA!'

Just had to see if the killer would be announced on this blog as I'm in Canada and can't watch the episode on YouTube till after work - I had guessed Anne right from the start so nice to see I was right.... :-0 ..... I think Anne will give Carla Frank's part of the Faktry as 'compensation' for all she has gone through and to say sorry on behalf of Frank and herself for believing Frank. Can't wait to get home and watch!

I was hoping it wasn't Anne..that the writer's would have been a bit more creative but the missing watch gave her away.

Wasn't really one of soaps best kept secrets at all! Everyone knew it was his Mum. It was predictable and boring to be honest with you! Very disappointing!!!!

I have never heard of a mother killing their adult son.

It was predictable, yes but done so well. I also knew it would end up being an accident. She had no intention of killing him but she's impulsive and she was horrifed at what he'd done.

The performances tonight left me breathless!

I was so hoping that we were being led astray into thinking it was Anne but, sadly no, all was as it appeared. Sorry but I really don't believe that Anne would have tried to cover up the accident. Yes, she's obviously mad with grief and Frank humiliated her, but that's stretching it. Expected her to collapse on the knife and join the rest of the family.

Boring...the missing watch gave her away. The whole thing was just soooo over-the top. Yes, the actress playing mother Foster was very good, but the writing and characterization was as usual subpar. They need to back to basics... pls no more murders at least for a while...

I for one am grateful that no innocent female was "banged up" screaming "I didn't do it" while the jail cell door bangs shut. It was novel when it happened to Deirdre but it got real old, real fast when it happened to Becky, then Gail and then Fiz. Glad it's been solved quickly.
