As one Coronation Street resident weeps in her jail cell, another one escapes and returns to the cobbles. Yes, Tony Gordon and his dodgy eye are back on the Street soon and he'll be seeking revenge on Carla Connor.
The Sun reckons that Tony (Gray O'Brien) feigns a heart attack in a staged fight in the big house and as he's being taken to t'hospital, his new hit man threatens the guards at gunpoint before securing Tony's escape.

Fantastic! This time, I want to see a hail of bullets, firepower...and who will be caught in the crossfire? Carla? Ozzy? Schmeichel? NuNick? Carla and Nunick deserves at least to be shot/wounded -- OK a light flesh-wound... for their absolutely dismal treatment of Kelly Crabtree...
I don't think you can blame carla for sacking kelly; she did give out confidential information.
Can't wait for tony to return HE IS BRILLIANT! Let's hope Tina gets caught in the crossfire.
Nice to see eileen back on form last night after a year of being a churlish, miserable, sour faced and boring bufoon.
Yes Tony is back!!!! Some people need to get killed! maybe a good way of Tony leaving the show rather than just rotting in jail for a arranged murder and attempted murder.
Kinda confused as to why he's seeking revenge? He proved he couldn't kill her last time? What theeeee? I am pleased he'll be back though, he's an awesome character!
Can't wait, I've missed Tony so much!
Carla caused him to lose Maria, that's probably the revenge thing.
Gunfight on the cobbles, maybe Molly will get wounded and get a heart when she is in hospital!
Bit confused about the revenge bit as well, wasnt Tony consumed with guilt about killing Liam? Why would be suddenly want to seek revenge and on whom? If some residents are going to die in a hail of gunfire then so be it. Perhaps its a way of getting rid of some of the cast! Making my list now - LOL!
OMG! I just CANNOT wait for this. This could be the storyline of the year in soapland.
Love Tony. Love Gray O'Brien. I don't want him to leave at all. I heard he comes onto some big burly bloke to get into the fight so he can go to hospital. When is his trial anyway? Surely it MUST be coming up. He has admitted all but surely he needs to be found guilty?
Brilliant news, I love him.
haha excellent - has there ever been a jail break on Corrie before?
Tonyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :o)
