Now then, I reckon I've given Jesse long enough to settle into life on the cobbles but I'm still not keen on him, no. Despite being a children's entertainer, he's one of the dullest men in soap. The funniest things about him are his parrott and his mum. In fact, his mum could go down in history as one of the best Coronation Street characters that we've never seen.
But anyway, I digress. What I really want to say about Jesse more than anything else is that he's not good enough for Eileen. Let Julie have Jesse - and please, please, let's have a storyline for Eileen that puts a smile on her face.

Gotta agree. Jesse just doesn't seem to be bought into the relationship. He clearly finds Julie attractive judging from how he keeps stealing looks at her backside and this birthday thing. .. if he was truly "in" the relationship, he'd have told Eileen about the birthday and about his mother's traditional birthday tea and gave her the choice whether she wanted to go or not.
The way that Eileen's behaving towards him at the moment, I think that Jesse is too good for her!
I'm getting tired of Eileen's same sour/smirky face...Joe's sour/sad visage...Jesse's "gee, I don't know what or why I'm here" expression.
Whether Jesse is good enough for Eileen or the other way around isn't really the point. Eileen currently has all the charms of a female lady wrestler. The writing of her character has to be developed so that we see a softer side to her sarcasm -- show a bit of vulnerability, the loneliness that middle-age women and men go through. Then go on and get a plotline for a match-up...maybe several competing match-ups -- whatever -- but NOT this kind of superficial Eileen meets mama's boy Jesse Cowboy with parrot joke storyline -- yuk, yuk, yuk -- bad, amateurish writing...
Someone find a big, fat RESET button ...or a CONTROL-ALT-DELETE... please!!!!!
Yes, I wish they would put a stop to this storyline/relationship now. It's incredibly dull, yet as filler scenes, it is supposed to be funny. Jesse really drags Eileen down.
YES! Just that simple.
Definitely YES. I am surprised Jessee hasnt moved back to his mummys by now and Eileen is an old sour puss. Charms of a lady wrestler - LOL!
Yes - he'd have a much better time with Julie! Eileen sometimes has a really sniping miserable side to her.
