There are paparazzi pictures online this week showing Coronation Street filming with Liz and Jim McDonald's daughter Katie.

Australian actress Hannah Ellis Ryan has been cast in the role of Katie, Liz and Jim's daughter that they assumed had died at just one day old.

I will grit my teeth and pretend this storyline isn’t happening in much the same way as I did with the Frankie/Jamie Baldwin emotional incest story years ago.

Certainly in the 'what were they thinking' bin. Up there with Michelle's son switched at birth and Audrey's transvestite date. A parting gift from Kate Oates I think.

This storyline is wrong on every level. Not only that Katie is still alive, but the return of Jim McDonald too. I truly dislike this character. His return will bring absolutely nothing new to the show
Totally disagree with you about Jim McDonald.. I can't wait for him to come back, his return will be the same as all the other old characters who come back, they will soon get new storylines. Love Big Jim, so I do!
I agree with Anon. Every time he comes back his plots are the same. Make a play for Liz, be aggressive and use his fists against any male who chats to Liz. Get even more aggressive with Liz when she turns him down. Again. Row and fall out with Steve. Oh and rob a bank as he feels that might win Liz back. Really wish he'd go to stay with Andy in Spain
